Nolan attended the University of Victoria, graduating in 2005 with a B.A. in Economics. An interest in Law and Economics led him to pursue law school, taking him back to study law at the University of Saskatchewan.
Nolan maintains a general practice in law, with a particular interest in real estate, litigation and aboriginal law. He has represented claimants under the Independent Assessment Process for residential school survivors. In the course of doing so, he represented hundreds of claimants

Youth Ski Coach-Nolan has completed his Community Coaching Course aimed at developing young Nordic Skiers. He teaches lessons to youth in Saskatoon and area.
